MEET THE FOUNDER: SOPHIE MASON
I'm Sophie.
16 year lash veteran, post-pandemic-pivoter and proud founder of LashFest. i.e the most supportive global community for lash artists.
In 2019, after spending 14 years in the beauty industry, I decided to chase my own dreams of freedom. In 6 months, I had a 6-figure business and 4 staff members. I finally controlled my own diary and could choose how (and when) I worked.
UNTIL
I lost my super successful but fairly new business in the pandemic. Like many other beauty professionals, I didn’t know what to do or which direction to head in.
I THREW myself into building community and getting to know other lash pros.
It was throw this process I realised 2 things:
- The business support for lash and beauty pros wasn’t there. People were confused. They thought they needed to learn a new lash technique to get booked. But in reality, they had no marketing skills – no way for people to find them.
- People were going to need human contact more than anything once the world returns to normal.
So LashFest was BORN.
The place for lash and beauty pros to come and learn exactly what they need to build a business they love.
Since then we have taken the event global, 1000 women to grow their business, from opening their own salons, to being mentors, starting a lash brand and finding their best friends.
